A Baby Shower...
My baby sister is having a baby girl. It has been a complete joy to watch her grow from baby to womanhood and now motherhood. I fondly remember the silly words she would use: "gookie, wada" was thank you, your welcome and "thou-bee" was banana - too funny. I enjoyed making a train out of diaper boxes and pulling her around the house in it.
To celebrate Mom, Winnie, and I flew to Vegas to host her shower. It was lovely. Each guest created a scrapbook page, making a wish for Sarah and the new baby. We put candles on her cake to represent everyone's wish and Sarah blew out the candles. Winnie was a super help - I couldn't have done it without her. She even ran a game of her own - guessing the melted candy bar in the diaper. Mom did most of the cooking - the recipes were a hit.
I can't wait to meet my new niece!!
I know she is being induced right now, and I just can't wait to hear the news. How exciting for your whole family!
